Making Tax Digital (MTD) is on the horizon for many businesses. It represents a momentous change in the way taxpayers keep records and submit information to HMRC.
Dividend payment is a primary vehicle to extract cash from owner-managed businesses, but it's an area coming increasingly under HMRC's spotlight.
Our lead article provides an update on changes to the pensions auto-enrolment regime. This entered a new phase from 1 October, with new employers coming immediately into compliance obligations.
